 This is our host hotel for the Skyline Challenge.  The Holiday Inn is only 1/2 mile from the start and finish.  I promise you that this is the best hotel accommodations within 45 miles.  The hotel is brand new and amazing.  The Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Blue Ridge Shadows is a full service conference hotel, with pool, fitness center and day spa. They offer a wide range of accommodations: 124 spacious rooms including 26 luxurious suites – all overlooking the golf course. (rated in the top 3 in VA. By Gold Digest.)  Rooms are available with one king or two queen beds and have a refrigerator, free high-speed wireless Internet, cable TV, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, and coffee maker with complimentary coffee. In addition to these amenities, each of our spacious suites has a private bedroom plus a sleeper sofa in the living room.

            There is also one of the best restaurants in the area connected to the Hotel, Houlihan’s. Houlihan’s offers relaxed, casual dining and bar seating for 196 guests, featuring quality American fare freshly prepared with contemporary flavors and creativity. From fresh-baked artisan breads to mini martini flights, you’ll find a variety of popular dishes along with interesting new tastes delivered to the table with smart presentations at incredible value. (RD’s Note: their pasta dishes are to die for!)

At this time they will give any affiliated with The Skyline Challenge a rate of $105.00 plus tax.  This also includes a special runners continental breakfast.  This is not the cheapest room in Front Royal but I promise it is the best by far.
